Post your Jobs to Craigslist | JobFlo : JobFlo Help Center

Craigslist hosts one of the most active job boards on the internet. Although is used to be free to post a job in many locations, you now have to pay to post a job ad in the continental United States (there are still locations around the world where job ads are free). Even in those locations where Craigslist does charge to post an employment ad, it's less expensive than many other options.

Recently Craigslist made changes to it's job posting policy: paid job ads can use full HTML tags, but free job ads can only use plain text. JobFlo has addressed this by enabling you to copy either the full HTML version of your job listing (with your logo, advanced formatting and a big green Apply Now button) or a text-only version of your job listing. Please be careful to copy the correct version as noted below.

1. Copy the HTML for the Craigslist copy of your job posting

Click the Job Posting tab on the ribbon at the top.
Select the job you want to advertise on Craigslist from the Position: selector.
If a paid ad, grab a copy by clicking the pages icon in the Copy HTML Job Post column.
If a free ad, grab a copy by clicking the pages icon in the Copy Text Job Post column.

2. Go to Craigslist for your area, then navigate screens until you get to the job posting form.

Navigate to the geographic Craigslist site for your job.
Click on the post to classified link in the upper left.
Select the job offered radio button.
Click the i will abide by these guidelines button.
Select the appropriate job category radio button.

3. Paste the job posting HTML into the posting description field of the create posting form

Paste the job description HTML copied in step 1 above by clicking into the posting description field and hitting Ctrl-v (Cmd-v on Macs).

4. Fill the other create posting fields as appropriate and proceed to publishing your ad

It's very important to NOT have your email in the text of the job ad and to select "no replies to this email, please" on the reply to email when setting up your Craigslist ad.
Click the continue button.
You should not have to include images (if your account was set up correctly, JobFlo will automatically include your logo with the ad). Click the done with images button.
After reviewing the ad (and if no changes needed), click the publish button.

5. Activate your Craigslist ad

You will receive a confirmation email from Craigslist. Click the link in the email.
On the Terms of Use page, click the ACCEPT the terms of use button.
Your ad will now be live on Craigslist. You can view or manage (edit or delete) the ad by clicking links on your posting confirmation page.

4. Fill the other create posting fields as appropriate and proceed to publishing your ad

When all required fields are filled, click the continue button.
