JobFlo has put together Hints For Creating a More Effective Job Posting. Now we need to understand the steps for creating your first new job posting in JobFlo. Creating subsequent new job postings will follow the same steps.
1. Log-in to your JobFlo account
- At the Welcome screen click on the create your first position link.
2. Fill the details of your job on the Describe Your Position page, then click the orange Next button in the upper right.
- Job Title
- Position Identifier: This will appear in the Label column of your Dashboard. This can be a handy secondary way to identify and sort your positions. For example, If you have several positions in different geographic locations with the same title, typing the location into this field will help you differentiate the jobs in your Dashboard. NOTE: This information is not sent to job boards and will not be seen by anyone but you - it only displays in your Project Dashboard.
- Category: Select the best match from the drop-down menu.
- Position Description: Use our formatting tools to help you create a great looking job posting. You will have the opportunity to upload your logo on the next screen. Your logo will be saved on our server and used to all subsequent job postings.
- Country
- Anywhere check-box: Be careful... if you check this box, the ZIP code field will be hidden and you won't be able to add a ZIP code. See below why this can be bad.
- ZIP Code: It's important to add a ZIP to your job because all job boards require it to post jobs and all job searches are based on geographical location. NOTE: If you don't include a ZIP code job boards will reject your job listing, nobody will see your job and you won't get any applicants.
- Internal Only: Check if you do not want your job sent to free job boards.
3. Fill the fields of the Describe Your Company page, then click the orange Next button in the upper right. Once filled and saved these will be applied to all future job postings - unless changed by you.
- Your Company's Website
- Street Address
- City
- State or Province
- URL of Your Company Logo OR Upload a Logo
- Company Blurb
- Autoresponse Template: You can customize your own automatic applicant response emailand associate it with individual job postings.
4. On the Preview and Confirm Your Post page you can see how your position will look when posted to job boards.
- If you need to make changes, click the orange Back button upper left
- Make sure to Set Your Position's Status to Active
- Click the orange Next button in the upper right
5. Your job is now saved and Active, so you can go back to your Dashboard if you want to create another job posting or you can click the orange Next button upper right to continue on to Share Job, Post to craigslist and Premium Posting.
